Janell has experience preparing and prosecuting both domestic and foreign patent applications. Prior to FIG. 1, Janell prepared and prosecuted patent applications with a significant focus on wireless communications technologies, including device and network architecture, artificial intelligence and machine learning, virtual reality, Internet of Things, security, and satellite networks. Janell also has extensive experience with standards-essential patents.
Janell’s educational background is in Aerospace Engineering. At the University of Colorado Boulder, she worked with Raytheon to develop a mobile ground station for backcountry satellite communication. At FIG. 1, she enjoys working with cutting-edge technology and helping clients develop the best possible protection for their inventions.
In her free time, Janell enjoys live music, reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, traveling, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and their dog.
