As a patent attorney, Jack's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a variety of technologies, including medical devices, machine learning, content creation and post-processing, and e-commerce and digital marketing.
Jack's core technical background is in Biomedical Engineering, and his prior experience includes working with various imaging modalities, advanced studies of tissue and stem cell engineering, and medical device design, fabrication, and commercialization to provide unique solutions for common problems in the medical field, particularly those in pediatrics and women’s health. Prior to his career in patent law, Jack worked in the Simulation & Engineering for Surgical Education Laboratory as a design engineer to develop a sensor based model for the clinical breast exam. He has also been on the other side of the coin as an inventor, for an innovative pessary device, and he enjoys helping clients develop their patent portfolios and protect their intellectual property assets.
